Material

CR (Chloroplene Rubber)

Chloroprene rubber (CR)
  • This is a synthetic rubber, neoplene, also known as chloroplene. CR is not a general synthetic rubber, but with special properties. It is a polymer of 2-chlorobutadiene and is the first synthetic rubber with excellent ozone resistance, heat resistance, aging resistance, and chemical resistance. It also has good mechanical properties in a wide range of temperatures.
Application
  • Its use is classified into electric wires, adhesives, and construction, with 22 types of solid elastomers and about 13 types of latex on the market. It is widely used in the transportation sector such as automobiles and railroads, and is used in manufacturing sealing materials such as refrigerators, wire cables, belts and hoses, rubber lining, sponges, rubber clothes for diving, refrigerant and weak chemicals or various parts (seal, gasket, etc.) that come into contact with ozone in the atmosphere, and adhesives.
